Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Tom Geroin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Geroin's choice of entrance music: Kevin Rudolf - In the City. Jake Coleman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Tom Geroin!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Geroin is trying to stand.
Coleman wants to take a breather but Geroin is having none of it.
Coleman content to control rather than advance.
Geroin pushes Coleman off looking to stand but Coleman dives back in and keeps control.
Coleman lands strikes from half guard.
Geroin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coleman.
Coleman working Geroin over with strikes.
Coleman prevents Geroin from standing back up.
Geroin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coleman.
Coleman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Geroin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Geroin is trying to stand up here but Coleman is controlling him well.
Coleman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Geroin on the ground.

Geroin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Coleman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Geroin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Geroin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Coleman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Geroin is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Coleman tries to advance to mount but can't.
Geroin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Coleman.
Geroin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Geroin stops Coleman from passing to mount.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Geroin is trying to get back to his feet.

Coleman landing strikes.
Geroin is pushing Coleman's head away, looking to escape. Coleman manages to hold on to the position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Geroin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Coleman working the strikes but Geroin uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coleman is nestled in close to Geroin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Geroin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Coleman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Geroin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Coleman lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Geroin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Coleman is controlling him.

Geroin wants to get back to his feet but Coleman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Coleman looking to sit in guard and control but Geroin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Geroin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Coleman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Geroin, into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Geroin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Coleman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Geroin is looking to stand up but Coleman isn't so interested in that idea.
Geroin looks gassed!
Geroin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coleman wants to control from the top but Geroin keeps moving.
Geroin is looking to stand up but Coleman isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Coleman throwing strikes from guard but Geroin blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Coleman dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Coleman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Geroin tries to escape but Coleman is in control.

Coleman is trying to get an arm triangle but Geroin is defending well.

Coleman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Geroin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Geroin keeps working.
Geroin is trying to get back to his feet.
Coleman landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Geroin tries to escape but Coleman is in control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman looks up at the clock and then as Geroin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Coleman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Geroin to see if he's OK.
Geroin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Coleman connects with a decent elbow.


Geroin is rocked!
Coleman in side control lands a decent elbow.
Geroin is still in real trouble! Can Coleman finish him?
Coleman scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Geroin is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Coleman can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Coleman!
