Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Rautiainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Carneiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Rautiainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Carneiro!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rautiainen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carneiro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rautiainen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Carneiro shoots in and bounces Rautiainen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Carneiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carneiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carneiro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rautiainen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rautiainen has escaped and now he's on top!

Carneiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rautiainen defends well.

Rautiainen is just content to waste time from the top position. Carneiro takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Rautiainen wants to get up but he can't break Carneiro's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rautiainen wants to control from the top but Carneiro keeps moving.

Carneiro looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daniel Carneiro will probably get the nod.
That's time! Rautiainen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Rautiainen has Carneiro up against the cage in a clinch.
Carneiro tries for a takedown but Rautiainen manages to get underhooks.

Rautiainen tightens his grip and picks Carneiro up, before dumping him to the ground. Carneiro manages to land in guard.
Carneiro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Carneiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rautiainen is not content to let Carneiro control the position.

Carneiro wants to work for an arm triangle but Rautiainen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Rautiainen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Carneiro pulls his head out easily.

Rautiainen is looking to improve his position.

Carneiro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rautiainen sees it coming and defends easily.
Rautiainen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rautiainen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Rautiainen is trying to control but can't.
Carneiro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rautiainen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Carneiro is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carneiro passes the guard and advances to mount!
Carneiro is breathing heavily.
Rautiainen is trying desperately to improve position.

Carneiro has hold of Rautiainen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rautiainen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Carneiro working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Rautiainen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carneiro on the ground.
Carneiro blocks Rautiainen's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rautiainen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rautiainen is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Carneiro is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rautiainen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rautiainen shrugs it off.

Carneiro looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Rautiainen punching to the body and holding on for dear life.
Carneiro is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Rautiainen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Carneiro can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rautiainen is looking to escape.

Carneiro quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Carneiro but it's paid off an Rautiainen is forced to tap! Nice work by Carneiro.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Daniel Carneiro!
A determined Daniel Carneiro didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
