The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sagland fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Almeida, pushing him back against the cage.
Almeida is trying to break the clinch but Sagland is controlling him.

Sagland has picked Almeida up - he's going for a ride! Sagland dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Sagland is controlling the pace.
Almeida is trying to stand.
Almeida is trying to escape back to his feet but Sagland uses the scramble to pass into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Sagland moves into full mount!
Sagland content just to control the position here.
Almeida has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Almeida is trying to remain composed but Sagland is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Almeida looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

Sagland is cranking Almeida's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Almeida! He's tightened the choke and Almeida is tapping out!
