Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Soon Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Simler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Do connects with a nice short shot to Simler's temple.
Do looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Simler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Simler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Do is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Simler is hurt! He's hurt bad - Do fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Simler from any more punishment! Congratulations to Do! Great finish!

Soon Do was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
