The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matos throws an overhand right that lands on Boonjumnong's shoulder, as Boonjumnong tries to avoid the shot.
Boonjumnong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Matos.
No luck for Boonjumnong with that takedown attempt.
Matos misses with a wild combination.
Boonjumnong closes the distance but Matos moves to the side
and Boonjumnong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Matos looks to land a left hand but Boonjumnong moved out of range nicely.
Boonjumnong blocks a jab.
Boonjumnong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boonjumnong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matos as he jumps to the side.

It looks like Somjit Boonjumnong has been cut.
Matos misses with a looping right.
Matos blocks a jab.
Boonjumnong tries to clinch but Matos moves out of range.
Boonjumnong throws a shot from downtown. Matos moves away and avoids it.
Matos tries to bum rush Boonjumnong with a series of wild strikes but Boonjumnong uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Boonjumnong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boonjumnong closes the distance and clinches up with Matos, looking for a takedown. Boonjumnong pushes Matos against the cage but Matos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Matos counters with a left and a right that stings Boonjumnong.

Matos misses with an uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boonjumnong.

and Matos counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Boonjumnong to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Matos!
