PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frazier's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, No Easy Way Out. Silva has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frazier's waist but Frazier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.

Frazier clinches with his opponent.
Silva keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Frazier's efforts to push away.

Frazier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Frazier rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
Silva prevents Frazier from breaking the clinch.
Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Frazier breaks the clinch.
Silva avoids the body shot from Frazier.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Joe Frazier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Silva.
Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Frazier is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Silva can't get the takedown.
Frazier tries to break the clinch but Silva is controlling the position.

Frazier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frazier misses with a shot to the body

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Frazier's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Frazier manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Nice takedown defense from Frazier. No joy for Silva on that attempt.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Frazier.

Frazier moves into the clinch.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Frazier fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Silva tries for a takedown but Frazier manages to get underhooks.

Frazier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Frazier forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Frazier lands with a left to the head.
Frazier tries to break free but Silva pushes him back against the cage.
Frazier has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Silva has Frazier pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Frazier manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Silva looks gassed!

Frazier can't break the clinch.
Silva is looking to take this one to the mat.
Frazier is trying to break the clinch but Silva is controlling him.
Silva is working for takedown but Frazier is calmly controlling the position for now.
Frazier gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frazier wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.

Frazier manages to break the clinch.

Frazier closes the distance and clinches.
Silva is working for takedown but Frazier is calmly controlling the position for now.

Frazier breaks the clinch.
Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Frazier lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Frazier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Frazier misses with a jab to the body
and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Frazier throws a left that rocks Silva and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Frazier dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Silva regain composure!

Silva is rocked!

It looks like Joe Silva has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Frazier stands up.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Frazier finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Frazier knocks Silva out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
