And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Arai!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jobber jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Arai can't do much from the bottom here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arai can do anything to dispel that myth.
Arai is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jobber trying to control the position but Arai is working away.

Arai managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jobber.

Arai is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jobber connects with a decent elbow.
Jobber cracks Arai with a big elbow.
Jobber fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jobber controls the position.
Jobber throws a strike aimed at the side of Arai's head but Arai avoids it well.
The strikes coming from Jobber are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Arai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jobber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jobber cracks Arai with a big right hand but Arai just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jobber throws an elbow but Arai slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jobber is looking to take a break and control but Arai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jobber throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Arai is trying to improve his position.
Arai avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jobber.
Jobber is chipping away with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jobber connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Arai some visible discomfort.
Jobber sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Arai is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Jobber grinds an elbow into Arai's temple.


Arai is rocked!
Arai tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jobber presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Arai is still in real trouble! Can Jobber finish him?
Jobber is landing with some decent strikes but Arai is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arai takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jobber's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
