Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Te Guruma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guruma's entrance music is A Tear In The Open. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guruma shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wilson is staying active underneath Guruma, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Guruma feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wilson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Guruma is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wilson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Guruma's back instead.
You can see the frustration on Guruma's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
