Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Otou Hek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neo Angin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hek's entrance music is Tha Playah. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Otou Hek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neo Angin!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Angin thows a huge punch but Hek dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Angin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hek is just riding it out for now. Angin eventually gives up the hold.
Hek moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Angin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hek is trying to keep Angin in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Angin wants to stand and escape but instead Hek has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Angin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hek moves in looking to clinch but Angin pushes him off.
Hek fails with an attempt to clinch.
Angin slaps away a takedown attempt from Hek, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Angin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hek fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Angin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Angin throws a head kick that misses.
Angin shoots for a double leg takedown but Hek sprawls well. He's pushed Angin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Otou Hek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neo Angin.

Angin shoots in for a takedown but Hek shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hek doesn't manage to clinch there - Angin circles away.
Hek shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Angin as he jumps to the side.
Angin moves in looking to clinch but Hek pushes him off.
Hek tries to clinch up but Angin circles away and keeps his distance.
Hek tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Angin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hek.
Angin slaps away a takedown attempt from Hek, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Angin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hek avoids it really well and circles away.

Hek is looking to clinch.
Angin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hek sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Angin somewhat.
Nice takedown defense from Angin. No joy for Hek on that attempt.
Angin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hek but Hek pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Angin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Angin is looking to advance position but Hek won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Neo Angin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hek gets caught napping as Angin dives in and scores a takedown. Hek manages to retain guard.

Angin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hek is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hek has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Neo Angin was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hek fails to land the takedown.

Hek tries to keep at a distance but Angin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hek jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Angin walks away with a smile on his face. Hek gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Otou Hek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hek throws a one two combo.
Angin has a takedown stuffed.
Angin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hek is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Angin clinches up against the cage.

Angin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Angin moves into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hek tries for a takedown. No joy.

Angin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Angin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hek on his heels. He'll look to pass Hek's guard now, I'm sure.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Neo Angin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Angin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hek napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Angin is staying tight to Hek's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Hek prevents Angin from improving position.
Angin with the ground and pound but Hek regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Angin scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Angin is stalling here. Hek is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Angin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hek has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hek wants to control but Angin is keeping him busy.
Angin wants to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hek is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Angin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hek wants it to stay on the feet.
Otou Hek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neo Angin.

Angin pushes Hek up against the cage in a clinch.
Angin has Hek pressed against the cage, preventing Hek from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Angin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Angin manages to end up in side control.

Angin misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Angin lands a big shot there that rocks Hek but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hek is squirming around, avoiding Angin's attempts to control the action.
Hek holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Angin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Hek regains half guard.
Otou Hek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Angin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hek doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Angin.
Neo Angin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neo Angin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Angin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
