The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ozdemir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pearsen but Pearsen pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pearsen cracks Ozdemir with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ozdemir looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pearsen finish him?

Ozdemir is rocked!

It looks like Adem Ozdemir has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ozdemir avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ozdemir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pearsen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pearsen drops Ozdemir with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ozdemir! Pearsen dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitchell Pearsen!
Post fight, Mitchell Pearsen took to the microphone: 'I'm flying back to Sydney and I'm gonna get my drink on! Woooooooo!'.
