Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaques Strap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brandao moves into range and clinches up with Strap.
Brandao has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Strap with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Brandao is trying to pull guard but Strap has him pressed against the cage.
Brandao jumps guard but Strap stands there with Brandao around his waist. Brandao gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Strap breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brandao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Strap as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Brandao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Strap goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Brandao is on top in guard.

Brandao tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Brandao tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brandao has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brandao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Strap keeps working.

Strap tries to bench press Brandao off him but Brandao keeps the position.

Brandao tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Strap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brandao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Strap wants to control but Brandao postures up.

Brandao is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Strap has escaped the position, nice work there.

Brandao working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Brandao wants to control for a moment but Strap uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brandao has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Strap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Strap must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Strap is pushing down on Brandao's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brandao is fighting to maintain full guard but Strap has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strap is looking to advance position but Brandao won't allow it.
Brandao has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Strap is working away from the top position though.

Strap rolls with it to try and escape but Brandao cranks on the arm and Strap is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
