Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and appolo max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Ya Boy- Rock and Roll. appolo max will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams has a takedown stuffed.
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
max doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Williams counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Williams.
Williams passes max's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Williams seems content to control.
Williams winds up and cracks max with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Williams is trying to control the action in half guard but max is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

max pushes Williams off but Williams dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams decides to stand back up. Williams steps back and let's max get back to his feet.
max doesn't manage to clinch there - Williams circles away.
Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
max lands with a kick to the temple. Williams shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
appolo max seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Williams not landing any meaningful shots this time.

max is looking to improve his position.
Williams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks max with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Williams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Williams lands a big elbow - max is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Williams!
