Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Smashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smashley comes into the arena with Hulk Smash by EXODUS blaring out of the sound system. Couture has chosen Killing Fields by Metallica as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smashley misses with a takedown attempt - Couture sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Couture's corner calls for a 1-2. Couture obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Couture displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smashley.
Smashley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Couture.
Couture works over Smashley's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Bobby Smashley has been cut.
Smashley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Couture pinned against the cage. Couture gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Smashley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Couture throws a combination. Smashley tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Couture drives through and clinches with Smashley against the cage.

Smashley is trying to drag Couture to the mat but Couture just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Couture lands with a short shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Couture lands with a right to the head.
Couture gets through Smashley's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Smashley wants to take the fight to the mat but Couture manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Couture scores with a nice short uppercut.

Couture lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Bobby Smashley's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Smashley's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Jeez, Bobby Smashley's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
A nice right hand lands inside from Couture.
Smashley is rocked!
Couture unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Smashley! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Couture is unloading with more strikes now! Smashley drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Couture!
After winning the bout, Randy Couture thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
