Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel NBomga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vatu Madraiwiwi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel NBomga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vatu Madraiwiwi!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NBomga misses the shot to the body.
Horrible takedown by Madraiwiwi or perhaps it was just good defense by NBomga which made him look bad.

Madraiwiwi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching NBomga on his heels. He'll look to pass NBomga's guard now, I'm sure.
Madraiwiwi throwing strikes from guard but NBomga blocks nicely.
Madraiwiwi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Madraiwiwi postures up in NBomga's guard and throws a big left but NBomga blocks it.
NBomga wants to stand but Madraiwiwi is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Madraiwiwi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Madraiwiwi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
NBomga will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Vatu Madraiwiwi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Madraiwiwi dives in and scores a takedown into NBomga's guard.
Madraiwiwi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like Madraiwiwi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Madraiwiwi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
NBomga keeping full guard, as Madraiwiwi tries to pass.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vatu Madraiwiwi.
NBomga wants to clinch.
NBomga misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Madraiwiwi tries to score a power double leg takedown but NBomga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Madraiwiwi somewhat.
Madraiwiwi keeps the fight on the outside.
Vatu Madraiwiwi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Madraiwiwi throws a right hand that NBomga ducks under and follows up with a left that NBomga also avoids with ease.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
NBomga dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Madraiwiwi. That did some damage!
Madraiwiwi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. NBomga defends it nicely.
Samuel NBomga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vatu Madraiwiwi.
Madraiwiwi throws a combination that misses
and NBomga makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Madraiwiwi misses with a wild combination.
Madraiwiwi looks gassed!
A head kick misses from NBomga.
Madraiwiwi shoots in but NBomga avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Madraiwiwi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Madraiwiwi takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Vatu Madraiwiwi has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A decent looking body kick lands there for NBomga.
NBomga throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Madraiwiwi's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Madraiwiwi misses with a takedown
and NBomga counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Madraiwiwi drops his hands momentarily and NBomga needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Madraiwiwi just on the top of the head. Madraiwiwi drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Madraiwiwi - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Samuel NBomga!
Samuel NBomga seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
