The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimaljdi just misses with a punch to the body.
Gibbs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gibbs tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kimaljdi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gibbs shoots in but Kimaljdi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gibbs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Marek Kimaljdi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lj Gibbs.
Gibbs wants to clinch
and Kimaljdi counters with a one-two to the body.
Gibbs takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Gibbs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kimaljdi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kimaljdi has escaped and now he's on top!
Gibbs wants to stand up but Kimaljdi is controlling him.
Kimaljdi stays in close to Gibbs's body and controls the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Marek Kimaljdi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Gibbs ducks right into an uppercut from Kimaljdi.
Gibbs blocks a jab.
Gibbs takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kimaljdi stuffs the takedown attempt from Gibbs. Gibbs gets slowly back to his feet.
Gibbs fails with the takedown
and Kimaljdi counters with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kimaljdi counters with a left to the body.
Kimaljdi takes a swing at Gibbs's ribcage but misses.
Gibbs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lj Gibbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gibbs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kimaljdi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kimaljdi connects with the punch.
Nice body kick there by Kimaljdi.
Kimaljdi throws a body kick that misses.
Marek Kimaljdi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kimaljdi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gibbs. That did some damage!
Kimaljdi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Kimaljdi lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Gibbs head around and knocks him out cold! Kimaljdi hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
