The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Tavares takes the fight into the clinch.

Tavares pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tavares's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tavares duly obliges.
Tavares pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rabbit back to the cage. Tavares follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tavares throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Rabbit stumbling backwards into the cage! Rabbit bounces back off the cage towards Tavares, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Tavares lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Tavares celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
