Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Rider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alysian Karalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karalis has chosen High Hopes by Pink Floyd as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rider throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Karalis was covering up waiting for the punch and Rider finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rider is looking to work some ground and pound but Karalis has wrist control.
Rider trying to control the position from guard on top but Karalis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Karalis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Rider trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Rider looking to sit in guard and control but Karalis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Karalis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rider swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alysian Karalis was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Rider blocks a jab.
Nice takedown defense from Rider. No joy for Karalis on that attempt.
Nice defenses there by Karalis.
Rider misses with a looping right.
Rider lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karalis throws a jab but it's blocked by Rider.
Rider throws a big shot that misses.
Karalis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rider throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Karalis scores with a jab to the jaw.
Karalis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Karalis wants it to stay on the feet.
Rider tries to score a power double leg takedown but Karalis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rider somewhat.
Karalis misses with a straight left.
Donk. Karalis catches Rider right on the button with a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Karalis getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rider takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rider slips a straight right by Karalis.

Karalis gets a clinch.
Karalis landing knees to the head.

Rider lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Karalis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Karalis.
Rider missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rider with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rider accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rider is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rider throwing strikes from guard but Karalis blocks nicely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Rider throws an elbow that misses. Karalis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rider's guard. Nice move by Karalis!

Alysian Karalis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Karalis misses with an uppercut. Rider saw that one coming.
Rider lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rider avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
The fight stays on the outside here - Karalis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Karalis lands with a good body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Alysian Karalis will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Karalis takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rider takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rider uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Karalis.
Rider lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A punch combination from Karalis misses.
Rider circles away from the clinch attempt.
Karalis shoots in for a double leg but Rider sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Karalis drops Rider with a huge uppercut! Rider drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Karalis is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

An intense looking Alysian Karalis took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Dude, bro, man, come on, you know? I mean come on, you know? Yeah! What!? Yeah!!'.
