The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ried is looking to clinch but McGarry is avoiding it.
Ried moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

McGarry tries to sprawl but Ried drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Ried is looking for a kimura but McGarry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ried to get the leverage.

McGarry is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ried pulls his head out easily.
McGarry is looking to improve his position.
McGarry moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

McGarry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ried doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ried manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ried really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGarry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

McGarry is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ried rolls with it to try and escape but McGarry cranks on the arm and Ried is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
