The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solovyev lands with a right hand.
Solovyev misses with a low kick.
Solovyev fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but MacGregor is out of range.
MacGregor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and MacGregor counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Solovyev thinking.
MacGregor lands with a thumping leg kick.
Solovyev throws out a loose jab but MacGregor uses good head movement to avoid it.
MacGregor scores with a jab to the jaw.

and MacGregor counters with a stiff right hand.
MacGregor throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Vladimir Solovyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

MacGregor gets tackled into the cage by Solovyev. Solovyev maintains the clinch.
Solovyev is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Solovyev seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but MacGregor is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
MacGregor is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Solovyev is keeping busy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
MacGregor lands with a right to the head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Solovyev.

MacGregor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

MacGregor throws an overhand right that lands on Solovyev's shoulder, as Solovyev tries to avoid the shot.
MacGregor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Solovyev finds it's way round the side to connect with MacGregor's head.
A looping hook to the body misses from MacGregor. Solovyev does a little dance to reset his feet.
MacGregor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
MacGregor tries to bum rush Solovyev with a series of wild strikes but Solovyev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Solovyev throws a pinpoint strike between MacGregor's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends MacGregor crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Solovyev scores a great knockout victory!
