Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stipe Miocic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fedor Emelianenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stipe Miocic!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miocic has a takedown stuffed.
Miocic tries to clinch up
and Emelianenko counters with a left and a right that stings Miocic.
Miocic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Emelianenko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miocic to the ground. Emelianenko is now in Miocic's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Emelianenko is looking to stand up but Miocic won't let him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miocic can do anything to dispel that myth.
Emelianenko advances to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Miocic is looking for a sweep. Emelianenko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like Emelianenko is going to stand back up.

Miocic flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Miocic wants to improve his position but Emelianenko is controlling well.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Emelianenko dives in and grabs Miocic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miocic pushes down on Emelianenko's head and hops out.
Miocic just misses with a punch to the body.
Miocic shoots in but Emelianenko avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Miocic tries to bum rush Emelianenko with a series of wild strikes but Emelianenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fedor Emelianenko will probably get the nod.

Emelianenko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Miocic has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Miocic!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Emelianenko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
