Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Devins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Devins!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a right hand that Devins ducks under and follows up with a left that Devins also avoids with ease.
James waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Devins.
James keeps the fight on the outside.

James drives through with a takedown into Devins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
James postures up.
James advances to half guard.
James is controlling the pace.
James lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

James is looking to advance position but Devins won't allow it.

James bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Devins's guard.
James is in close to Devins's body, working some short punches and elbows.

James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BOOM! James connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The referee warns Devins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin James dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Devins has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle.
Devins keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Devins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
James is pushing down on Devins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Devins is fighting to maintain full guard but James has managed to sneak the leg through.
James is keen to just control but Devins is a slippery customer.
James is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Devins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
James wants to control but Devins is keeping him busy.

James slips a nice elbow through Devins's hands, connecting with Devins's forehead.
James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Devins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Devins is staying active underneath James, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
James working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

James is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Devins can do to turn this around?

James looks up at the clock and then as Devins takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, James smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Devins is not content to let James control the position.
James is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Devins is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

James's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kevin James just wasn't active enough.

Bobby Devins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Devins to the ground. James is now in Devins's guard.

Kevin James showed his dominance in that final round.
Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
