Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Cairo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Caldwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dan Caldwell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caldwell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cairo.
Dan Caldwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caldwell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cairo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A combination from Caldwell does no damage.

Cairo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Caldwell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cairo has Caldwell in his guard.

Caldwell wants to control from the top but Cairo keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cairo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Caldwell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Caldwell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
