Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artie Lange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makao Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lange might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fire - Bruce Springsteen. Matsumoto is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sepultura - Territory . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lange throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Makao Matsumoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Matsumoto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lange circles away.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Makao Matsumoto was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lange is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Matsumoto fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lange manages to avoid it.

and Lange takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Matsumoto throws a right hand that Lange ducks under and follows up with a left that Lange also avoids with ease.
Lange lands with an uppercut that bounces Matsumoto off the cage and back into range.
Lange's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Matsumoto connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lange scrambles back to his feet.

and Lange counters with a right hand to the body.
Matsumoto throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lange on the side of the head.
Matsumoto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lange's waist but Lange gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matsumoto off to one side.
Artie Lange has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Makao Matsumoto.
Matsumoto throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lange sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Matsumoto moves out of range of the strikes.
Lange swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matsumoto.
Lange punishes Matsumoto's body with a nice straight punch.

and Lange counters with a nice uppercut.
Matsumoto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lange avoids it really well and circles away.
Lange scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Matsumoto doesn't seem bothered though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Lange counters with a crisp right hand that drops Matsumoto! Lange lets Matsumoto back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Matsumoto is rocked!

It looks like Makao Matsumoto has been cut.
Lange misses with an uppercut.
Matsumoto is still on wobbly legs! Can Lange finish him?
Lange loads up on a big right hand but Matsumoto slips the punch.
Matsumoto misses with a body shot.
Lange avoids the body shot from Matsumoto.
Matsumoto seems to have recovered his senses.

Lange stuffs the takedown attempt from Matsumoto. Matsumoto gets slowly back to his feet.

Lange uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matsumoto.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Matsumoto takes one to the chin there.
Lange has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lange there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lange ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matsumoto moves away.
Lange's corner calls for a 1-2. Lange obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lange throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Matsumoto sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Matsumoto fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
BOOM! Lange lands a beautiful left hook that drops Matsumoto. Matsumoto tries to recover but Lange is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Matsumoto lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
