Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Felizberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpha Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Felizberto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alpha Dog!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felizberto swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dog swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Felizberto gets caught flat footed, as Dog shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Felizberto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dog stands and throws Felizberto's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dog wants to lay and pray for a moment but Felizberto keeps working.

Dog is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Felizberto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dog working away.
Felizberto is looking to reverse the position.

Dog is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Felizberto has escaped the position, nice work there.
Felizberto is pushing Dog's head away, looking to escape. Dog manages to hold on to the position though.

Dog is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Felizberto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dog trying to control the position but Felizberto is working away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dog working away.
Felizberto seems a little lost for a moment, as Dog dominates the positioning.
Felizberto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dog wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Felizberto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Felizberto is controlling Dog's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Dog is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Dog is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Felizberto has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Felizberto slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Felizberto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dog tries to free his leg and advance position but Felizberto is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Felizberto manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Dog tries to reverse the position but Felizberto maintains control.
Dog is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Felizberto trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Felizberto controlling the position easily from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Felizberto has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dog tries to lock up and control but Felizberto gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dog is desperately trying to improve his position but Felizberto has a good base and remains in mount.
Felizberto trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Dog wants to control but Felizberto is having none of it.
Dog is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dog tries to hold on but Felizberto postures up.
Felizberto sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dog is wriggling around trying to escape.
Felizberto looking to control but Dog is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dog tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Felizberto tries to control but Dog wriggling away.
Dog tries to lock up and control but Felizberto gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Alpha Dog will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The crowd cheers as Felizberto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dog doesn't seem phased though.
Dog tries for a takedown but Felizberto circles away easily
and Felizberto counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Felizberto throws a body punch but Dog moves out of range.
Felizberto scores with a hook to the body. Dog takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dog has his takedown stuffed
and Felizberto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Felizberto takes a swing at Dog's ribcage but misses.
Felizberto lands a nice shot that snaps Dog's head back.
Felizberto lands with an uppercut that bounces Dog off the cage and back into range.
Dog misses with a takedown
letting Felizberto counter with a right hand.


Dog is rocked!
Ryan Felizberto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alpha Dog.
Dog doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Felizberto counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dog is still on wobbly legs! Can Felizberto finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Felizberto cracks Dog with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Dog falls to his knees and Felizberto doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Felizberto!
