Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Rustler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyson Willingham!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rustler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rustler showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Willingham looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rustler is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Willingham!
Rustler looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Willingham's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rustler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rustler working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Rustler lands a big shot there that rocks Willingham but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Willingham really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rustler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rustler wants to finish this one by submission but Willingham is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rustler.
Willingham is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Willingham can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rustler lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Willingham hang on?

Willingham wants to get back to his feet.
Rustler misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
You get the feeling that Willingham really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Willingham bucks Rustler off and manages to get back to his feet!
Willingham stalks Rustler and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rustler's face. Rustler staggers backwards, shaken.
Rustler fails to land the takedown.
Tyson Willingham is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Willingham swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rustler walks into a stiff left hand from Willingham.
Rustler is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Willingham.
Rustler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tyson Willingham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rustler is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Willingham lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rustler at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rustler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Willingham's waist but Willingham gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rustler off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Rustler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Willingham scores with a sloppy right hand. Rustler should have avoided that one.
Willingham connects with a looping right hand.
Willingham stalks Rustler and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rustler's face. Rustler staggers backwards, shaken.
Willingham scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Willingham smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Rustler is rocked!
Willingham scores with the left hand. Rustler knows he should have avoided that one.
Oh Rustler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Willingham lands the left hand.
Willingham connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Rustler tumbling to the canvas! Willingham pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Rustler was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tyson Willingham!
