The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Juice.
Juice misses with a body shot

and Staller counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Staller is in close to Juice's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Staller missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Juice is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Staller is aware though and is defending well.
Staller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Juice tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Staller is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Staller postures up and lands a big shot to Juice's brow.

Juice has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Staller is working away from the top position though.
Staller winds up and cracks Juice with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Staller uses his free foot to push down on Juice's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Juice.

Staller has control of Juice's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Juice regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Juice is wriggling around trying to escape.
Juice tries to hold on but Staller pushes him away.

Staller is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Juice can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
