Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cubensis Azul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana has chosen Duke NukemTheme as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azul works Santana's body with a nice hook.
Santana takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Azul throws a looping overhand right but Santana ducks down to avoid it.
Azul tries to score a power double leg takedown but Santana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azul somewhat.
Azul uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Santana.
Azul misses with a hook. Santana ducked under it nicely.
Santana throws the left hand but Azul avoids the punch easily.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Azul here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Azul feints and then cracks Santana's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Santana down.

Azul dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Santana. That did some damage!

Santana lunges at Azul with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Azul's hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Azul has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cubensis Azul decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
