Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pico Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sabaton- Metal machine. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith shoots in and bounces Rodrigo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Smith postures up and lands a big shot to Rodrigo's brow.
Rodrigo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Smith controls the pace.
Smith is pushing down on Rodrigo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rodrigo is fighting to maintain full guard but Smith has managed to sneak the leg through.

Smith looking to isolate an arm here. Rodrigo doesn't see it coming and as Smith extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Smith!

Dan Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
