The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quintes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Iii misses with a few strikes there.
Iii closes the distance and clinches.
Quintes tries to pull guard but Iii forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Quintes looking to stall.
Quintes jumps guard but Iii stands there with Quintes around his waist. Quintes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Iii throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Quintess head.
Iii breaks from the clinch.
Quintes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Quintes misses with a series of wild punches.
Quintes throws a sloppy head kick and Iii moves out of range easily.
Iii swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Iii lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Alexander Iii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iii tests Quintes's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Migeal Quintes has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Iii stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Iii wants it to stay on the feet.

Quintes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Iii tries to avoid it but Quintes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Iii to the ground. Iii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Iii darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Quintes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Iii closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Iii connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Quintes momentarily.
Quintes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Iii lands with a nice combination. Quintes backs away looking to recover.
