The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Oliveira shoots in and bounces Aldo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oliveira is standing up over Aldo. Aldo looks to escape but Oliveira dives into side control.
Aldo is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliveira scores with a couple of short elbows.

Aldo pushes Oliveira away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Oliveira gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Oliveira is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Aldo is trying to escape and Oliveira transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Aldo is forced to tap! Nice work there by Oliveira! Very nice indeed!
