A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grubet wants to clinch.
Selassie I scores with a hook.
Grubet misses with a head kick.
Selassie I misses with a body shot.
A slow jab from Selassie I misses its intended target.
Grubet moves in looking to clinch but Selassie I pushes him off.
Selassie I scores with a jab to the jaw.
Grubet fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grubet staying out of range there.
Grubet tries to clinch but Selassie I is having none of it.
Grubet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Grubet shoots in for a takedown but Selassie I shows good takedown defense.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Grubet.
Selassie I avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grubet tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Selassie I counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
No luck for Grubet with that takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Selassie I lands with a thumping leg kick.
Grubet looks gassed!
Grubet looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A lazy left from Selassie I finds it's target.
Grubet stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Selassie I.
Selassie I avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Haile Selassie I is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Selassie I throws a hook but Grubet blocks it.
Selassie I lands with a thumping leg kick.

Selassie I cracks Grubet with an uppercut from hell and Grubet crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Selassie I's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Grubet is rocked!

It looks like Gnarlles Grubet has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Selassie I trying to control the position from guard on top but Grubet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grubet wants to stand up but Selassie I is controlling him.

Grubet is working an open guard so Selassie I takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Grubet avoids a punch combination nicely.

Grubet throws a sloppy head kick and Selassie I moves out of range easily.
Selassie I drops Grubet with a huge uppercut! Grubet drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Selassie I is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
