Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Funktastic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Yankee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yankee throws a jab but it's blocked by Funktastic.
Yankee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A combination from Yankee does no damage.
Yankee lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Yankee scores with a jab. Funktastic acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Yankee misses with a left hand
and Funktastic counters with a nice uppercut.

Funktastic has Yankee up against the cage in a clinch.
Yankee wants to break free but Funktastic has control.
Funktastic has Yankee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yankee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Yankee is struggling to control the position.
Yankee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Funktastic has hold of one of Yankee's legs. Yankee is fighting the takedown attempt but Funktastic gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Yankee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Funktastic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Funktastic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Funktastic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Funktastic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Funktastic swings around for an armbar but Yankee sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Funktastic's guard.
Yankee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Funktastic is keeping the position for now.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Funktastic holds on and takes a little breather.

Yankee has gone for a leg lock! Funktastic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yankee's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Funktastic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yankee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Funktastic.

and Funktastic counters with a series of strikes. Yankee will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jim Yankee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A big left from Funktastic misses.

Funktastic throws a right and a left that both miss.
Funktastic swings for the body but Yankee moves out of range.
Yankee lands the left hand.
Funktastic connects with a right hand. Yankee shakes it off.
Funktastic shoots in looking for a takedown. Yankee tries to sprawl out of it but Funktastic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yankee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jim Yankee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A clash of legs there as Yankee blocks the low kick.
Yankee misses with a hook. Funktastic ducked under it nicely.
Funktastic rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yankee counters with a stiff right hand.
Yankee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Funktastic circles away quickly and effectively.

Funktastic darts in and clinches Yankee up against the cage.

Yankee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Yankee throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Funktastic on the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mr Funktastic will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Funktastic manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yankee on his heels. He'll look to pass Yankee's guard now, I'm sure.

I would just about give that final round to Jim Yankee.
