Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Mkhalele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leeroy Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mkhalele might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Noir Désir - Un jour en France. Leeroy Russo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mkhalele closes the distance but Russo moves to the side
and Russo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Russo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mkhalele manages to avoid it.
Mkhalele tries to clinch up
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mkhalele rushes Russo and presses him up against the cage.
Russo lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Russo using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Mkhalele creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Russo's defenses.

Russo lands a big uppercut and Mkhalele crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mkhalele looks OK. Russo waves Mkhalele back to his feet!
It looks like Tristan Mkhalele has been cut.
Mkhalele moves to clinch but Russo breaks away
and Russo counters with a huge left! Mkhalele is in big trouble! He's backing up but Russo isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Mkhalele from any more damage. A dominating finish by Russo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leeroy Russo!
A very excited looking Leeroy Russo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
