Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davide Jesus !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Lombardi.
Lombardi throws a sloppy head kick and Jesus moves out of range easily.
Lombardi looks for the body kick but Jesus saw that one coming.
Jesus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lombardi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jesus throws a right hand that Lombardi ducks under and follows up with a left that Lombardi also avoids with ease.

Horrible takedown by Jesus or perhaps it was just good defense by Lombardi which made him look bad.

Jesus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lombardi but Lombardi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lombardi lands with a kick to the temple. Jesus shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Lombardi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lombardi thows a body kick. Jesus tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Jesus throws an overhand right that lands on Lombardi's shoulder, as Lombardi tries to avoid the shot.

Jesus sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lombardi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jesus backs up against the cage.
Jesus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lombardi avoids it really well and circles away.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jesus . He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Lombardi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jesus wants to control the pace but Lombardi is squirming around nicely.

Jesus is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lombardi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jesus thows a huge punch but Lombardi dodges it nicely.
