These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tyson jr backs up against the ropes.
Silva thumps Tyson jr with a low kick.
Silva lands a lovely overhand right.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva lands a head kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tyson jr moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva breaks the clinch.
Tyson jr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Silva leaves Tyson jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tyson jr looks gassed!
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tyson jr momentarily.
Silva goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Silva scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Silva scores with a punch to the head.

Tyson jr is rocked!
Silva drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Tyson jr right on the button. Tyson jr goes down! Silva follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Silva gets the win via TKO!

After the fight, Thor Silva was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
