Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic comes into the arena with Wild boys blaring out of the sound system. Emelianenko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Era-Enea Vollare Mezzo. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Filipovic backs up against the ropes.
Filipovic lands with a kick to the temple. Emelianenko shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Emelianenko misses with a takedown attempt - Filipovic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Emelianenko darts in and clinches Filipovic up against the ropes.

Filipovic is trying to push Emelianenko away but Emelianenko has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Emelianenko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Filipovic uses from the top position.

Filipovic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Filipovic is pawing at Emelianenko, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Emelianenko's nose. Emelianenko is badly hurt! Filipovic pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Emelianenko tries desperately to hold on but Filipovic is relentless in his assault! As Emelianenko receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Filipovic away and this one is in the books!

Mirko Filipovic spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
