Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Sadia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Sadia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Sadia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wade Carlson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadia throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carlson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Sadia misses with the combination.
Sadia wants to clinch.
No luck for Sadia with that takedown attempt.
Carlson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sadia swings for the body but Carlson moves out of range.

Carlson darts in and clinches Sadia up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sadia wants to stand but Carlson is controlling his posture from full guard.
Carlson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carlson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Carlson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carlson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carlson wants to control from the top but Sadia keeps moving.

Despite being in the dominant position, Wade Carlson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Carlson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Sadia looks to land a left hand but Carlson moved out of range nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Sadia.
I think Sadia has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
