PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tad Unhinged (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davidson gets a double leg takedown into Unhinged's guard.
Unhinged throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Unhinged looking for a guillotine here but Davidson defends easily.

Davidson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Unhinged is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Unhinged has escaped and now he's on top!
Unhinged looking to sit in guard and control but Davidson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Davidson stands up and waves to Unhinged to follow him.

Unhinged takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Davidson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Davidson.

It looks like Tad Unhinged has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Unhinged looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Unhinged shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Davidson is defending against the submission attempts here by Unhinged.

Unhinged frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Davidson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Unhinged shoots in for a takedown but Davidson shows good takedown defense.

Unhinged throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Unhinged is in Davidson's guard.
Unhinged missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Davidson looking for a guillotine here but Unhinged defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Unhinged passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Davidson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Davidson throws Unhinged to one side and escapes!

Davidson drives through with a takedown into Unhinged's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Unhinged is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Unhinged has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davidson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Davidson stands up and waves to Unhinged to follow him.

Davidson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Unhinged fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Unhinged is looking to clinch.
Unhinged closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davidson circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tad Unhinged. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Davidson stands up and beckons Unhinged to his feet.

Unhinged shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Davidson is trying to defend but Unhinged finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Davidson wants to improve his position but Unhinged is controlling well.
Unhinged is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Unhinged postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Davidson to stand up.
Davidson lands with a nice combination. Unhinged backs away looking to recover.

Davidson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davidson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Willie Davidson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Unhinged closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Unhinged trying to control the position but Davidson is working away.
Davidson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Davidson is breathing heavily.
Unhinged slows the pace down.
Unhinged's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Davidson tries to escape but Unhinged is in control.

Unhinged tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Unhinged decides to take the fight back to the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davidson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davidson wants it to stay on the feet.
Davidson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Unhinged shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davidson as he jumps to the side.
Unhinged moves in looking to clinch but Davidson pushes him off.
Davidson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Unhinged on the side of the head.

Davidson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Unhinged will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Unhinged is looking for a sweep.
Davidson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Unhinged is avoiding damage well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Unhinged manages to work his way to half guard, despite Davidson's best efforts.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tad Unhinged will probably get the nod.

Unhinged shoots in but no luck this time.

Unhinged feints and as Davidson raises his hands in defense, Unhinged changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Unhinged stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davidson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Unhinged tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Unhinged has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Davidson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Unhinged asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Unhinged wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davidson, who protects the arm well.

Davidson is pushing Unhinged's head away, looking to escape. Unhinged manages to hold on to the position though.
Davidson can't do much from the bottom here.

Unhinged has hold of Davidson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Davidson seems comfortable defending it but Unhinged has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Davidson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Davidson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Unhinged couldn't care less - he's delighted!
