The incomparable musical genius that is MARI-WANA. Rei comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alice in Chains - No Excuses kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Budo Rei acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
al Din keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
al Din connects with an inside leg kick.
al Din sizes up Rei with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Budo Rei has been cut.
al Din misses with a hook. Rei ducked under it nicely.
al Din avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
al Din tries to land a front kick but Rei steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

A looping hook to the body misses from al Din. Rei does a little dance to reset his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

al Din connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as al Din checks a leg kick.
Rei takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

al Din cracks Rei with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. al Din has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rei to stand back up!

Rei is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
al Din uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rei.
Rei is still on wobbly legs! Can al Din finish him?
al Din waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rei.
al Din lands a nice hook to Rei's body. Rei takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rei looks gassed!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by al Din.
al Din finds Rei's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Rei flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. al Din lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Rei will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Taj al Din!
