The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura fails to land the takedown.

and Kimura counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Duck!
Duck tries to reverse the position but Kimura maintains control.

Kimura has hold of Duck's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Duck manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kimura goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Duck turns into him and now he's in Kimura's guard.
Duck wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving.

Duck doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Kimura counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Duck will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kimura content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kimura advances to half guard.
Kimura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Duck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kimura uses his free foot to push down on Duck's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Duck.
