The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garcia.

Williams dives in and scores a takedown into Garcia's guard.

Corey Williams has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Williams rushes Garcia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Garcia is fighting off a takedown attempt but Williams is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Garcia to the mat. Garcia regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Garcia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Williams controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams stands up and waves to Garcia to follow him.

Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Williams to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams uses his free foot to push down on Garcia's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Garcia.

Williams turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Williams manages to end up in side control.

Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garcia on the ground.
