The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Worner pushes Santos off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Santos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Worner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Worner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Worner!
Santos is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Worner is trying to get an arm triangle but Santos is defending well.

Worner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Santos is looking to regain half guard here but Worner keeps moving and retains side control.
Santos is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Worner off and has taken his back!
Worner looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Santos is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Worner has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santos looking to break Worner's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Worner remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Santos will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Worner is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Worner darts in and clinches Santos up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Worner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Worner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dominic Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Worner trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santos has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Worner should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Santos has tightened it up now! Worner should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
