Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Rumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Register (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Register has chosen Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. Don Rumble had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Donald Register will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Register closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Register is pressed up against the cage. Rumble has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Register down to the mat. Register avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rumble gets a clinch.
Rumble keeps control of Register as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Register lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Register breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Rumble with that takedown attempt.
Register changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rumble could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Register wants to clinch but Rumble slips to the side

and Rumble counters with a nice double leg into side control. Register won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Register controls the position for a moment.
Register is trying to improve his position.

Rumble prevents Register from improving his position.
Rumble prevents Register from standing back up.
Rumble wants to pass the guard but Register is defending well.
Register tries to get to full guard but Rumble has control of the leg.
Rumble is looking to take a break and control but Register is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rumble is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Register is just riding it out for now. Rumble eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rumble shoots in for a takedown but Register shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Rumble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Register shoots for a double leg takedown but Rumble sprawls well. He's pushed Register's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Register lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rumble at a distance.
Donald Register seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rumble takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rumble walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Don Rumble has been cut.
Register tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rumble swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A choreographed right hand from Register misses the target.
Rumble shoots for a double leg takedown but Register sprawls well. He's pushed Rumble's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Rumble counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Register tries to kick Rumble off but Rumble keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Register trying to control but Rumble postures up.

Rumble is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Register is just riding it out for now. Rumble eventually gives up the hold.
Rumble with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Rumble is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Register defends it well.
Register moves into full guard.
Register pulls Rumble in close to his closed guard and prevents Rumble from doing any damage or advancing position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rumble wants to get up but he can't break Register's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rumble trying to control the position from guard on top but Register is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Register is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Register passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rumble bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rumble uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Register.
Register fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rumble is out of range.
Rumble fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rumble slips under a jab.
Register throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Register lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Don Rumble is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rumble will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rumble shoots in for a takedown but Register shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Rumble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rumble avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Register doesn't manage to clinch there - Rumble circles away.

Rumble has managed to clinch.
Register lands with a left to the head.
Register has Rumble pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rumble manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Register lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rumble backwards.

Register breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rumble swats away the attempt to clinch by Register.
Register pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Register comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Register scores with a jab to the head.

Rumble is rocked!
Good standup being displayed there by Register as he connects with a hook.
Oh Rumble is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Register closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rumble! Register dives in looking to finish! Rumble is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
