PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leo Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crack Dealer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crack Dealer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dealer fails to land with a series of punches.
Khan looks for a takedown but Dealer sprawls well.
Dealer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dealer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Khan back to the cage. Dealer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Leo Khan has been cut.
Khan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dealer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dealer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Khan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Dealer sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dealer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dealer wants it to stay on the feet.
Dealer scores with a body shot.
Dealer connects with a single shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dealer as he jumps to the side.
Dealer lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Dealer. Those never looked like landing.
Dealer cracks Khan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dealer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dealer wants to stand up but Khan is controlling him.

Khan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Khan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dealer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Khan, into his guard.
Khan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Khan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dealer is aware though and is defending well.

Khan working for a triangle but Dealer defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan keeping moving, preventing Dealer from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Khan wants to sweep here but Dealer controlling him for the moment.
Dealer looking to sit in guard and control but Khan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Khan has gone for a leg lock! Dealer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khan's guard.
Dealer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Khan working for a triangle but Dealer defends it easily.
Dealer trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Crack Dealer will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Leo Khan's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dealer throws a low kick but it's checked well by Khan.
Dealer with a jab.
Dealer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Khan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Dealer sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Khan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dealer is fending him off so far but Khan persists. Nope, Dealer circles away and we're back to standing.

Khan needs to keep his hands up - Dealer had a free shot at his head there.
Dealer connects with the punch.
Dealer lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dealer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dealer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Khan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dealer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dealer duly obliges.
Dealer lands a lovely overhand right.
Khan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dealer defends it nicely.
Dealer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dealer wants it to stay on the feet.
Dealer cracks Khan with a good jab.
Khan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dealer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Khan somewhat.
Horrible takedown by Khan or perhaps it was just good defense by Dealer which made him look bad.

Dealer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Khan's hands.
Khan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dealer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dealer lands with a cross.
Khan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice body punch from Dealer.
Dealer scores with a jab to the jaw.
Dealer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Khan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dealer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Khan scrambles back to his feet.

Dealer throws the kick towards the body but Khan avoids it.
Crack Dealer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Khan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dealer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Khan on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Khan throws a predictable looking body shot
and Dealer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dealer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Dealer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dealer connects with a jab.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt - Dealer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dealer fails to land with a series of punches.
Dealer scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Khan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dealer.
Crack Dealer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dealer throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range.

Dealer lands a left and a right that send Khan crashing to the mat, dazed. Dealer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Khan is rocked!


Leo Khan's cut is getting worse.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown. Dealer tries to sprawl out of it but Khan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dealer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dealer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dealer duly obliges.
Khan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dealer pinned against the cage. Dealer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Khan seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Khan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crack Dealer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Dealer lands a left and a right that send Khan crashing to the mat, dazed. Dealer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Khan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Dealer lands with an uppercut that bounces Khan off the cage and back into range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dealer throws a shot from downtown. Khan moves away and avoids it.
Dealer throws the kick towards the body but Khan avoids it.
A lazy left from Dealer finds it's target.
Khan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dealer slaps away a takedown attempt from Khan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dealer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dealer lands a glancing blow to the side of Khan's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dealer misses with a wild combination.
Khan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dealer scores with a nice head shot.
Dealer throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Khan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dealer on his heels. He'll look to pass Dealer's guard now, I'm sure.

Khan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Khan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Khan won't allow Dealer to sweep him here.
Dealer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him.

Khan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dealer dives on top into guard.
Crack Dealer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dealer trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.

Khan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dealer is aware though and is defending well.
Khan keeping moving, preventing Dealer from controlling successfully.

Dealer looking to sit in guard and control but Khan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Leo Khan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dealer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dealer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Khan drops back looking for a leg! Dealer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dealer manages to kick Khan off! Khan jumps back into Dealer's guard.

Khan has gone for a leg lock! Dealer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khan's guard.

Khan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dealer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dealer trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.
Dealer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
Crack Dealer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dealer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
