PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between KC Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper comes to the cage accompanied by Renegade by Jay-Z & Eminem. Cooper has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. On his way into the cage it seems that KC Cooper has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily KC Cooper seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Ramirez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cooper's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez tries to free his leg and advance position but Cooper is retaining full guard.
Ramirez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jeffrey Ramirez wasn't active enough on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ramirez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ramirez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cooper stacks Ramirez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cooper!

Ramirez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A relieved looking KC Cooper thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
