Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Hickman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Paul!
Paul on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Paul tries to get out of the position.
Hickman is landing with some decent strikes but Paul is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hickman looking for a guillotine from mount but Paul is having none of it.

It looks like Justin Paul has been cut.
Hickman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hickman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Paul has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hickman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paul is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Hickman controlling the position easily from mount.
Hickman is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Paul is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Paul flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Hickman anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Paul and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Hickman slips an arm under Paul chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Hickman has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Hickman is squeezing on Paul like an anaconda would it's prey. Paul fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
