The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers looks for a takedown but Hogan sprawls well.

Hogan gets caught napping as Summers dives in and scores a takedown. Hogan manages to retain guard.

Summers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by James Summers .
Hogan fails with a takedown attempt.
Summers tries a head kick but it misses.

Hogan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Summers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hogan somewhat.
Hogan is breathing heavily.

Hogan drives through with a takedown into Summers 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hogan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Summers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hogan has managed to get both his arms back between Summers 's legs - danger averted.

Hogan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hogan passes Summers 's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Hogan maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Summers could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hogan has cracked it and Summers is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hogan !
