The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFreely closes this distance looking for a takedown but Champion circles away.
Qfc Champion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Champion throws a leg kick which misses McFreely's front leg but catches the back leg as McFreely tries to avoid it.
Champion dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Champion misses with a body kick.
McFreely is trying hard to land a takedown here. Champion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sloppy strikes from Champion. Those never looked like landing.

Champion misses with a series of wild punches.
McFreely shoots in looking for a takedown but Champion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McFreely's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

McFreely shoots in but no luck this time.
Champion lands with a kick to the temple. McFreely shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Champion throws a series of punches but McFreely avoids them all with ease.
McFreely looks for a takedown but Champion sprawls well.

Champion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McFreely swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McFreely working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Champion doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but McFreely is tightening it up a little... Champion has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Champion reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Champion taps out! Nice BJJ there by McFreely!
