Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ajax Valhar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valhar's entrance music is Strange Clouds. A fine choice. Ajax Valhar is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valhar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sonnen is trying to defend but Valhar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sonnen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Valhar is working away from the top position though.
Valhar looks to land a strike but Sonnen avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Valhar trying to control the position from guard on top but Sonnen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sonnen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Valhar defends it easily.

Sonnen has his foot on Valhar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Valhar works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valhar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Valhar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valhar wants to control from the top but Sonnen keeps moving.
Valhar tries to free his leg and advance position but Sonnen is retaining full guard.

Sonnen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valhar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Valhar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Sonnen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valhar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Valhar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Sonnen tries to roll over but Valhar keeps him under control.
Valhar is taking a breather. Sonnen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sonnen is trying to stand up here but Valhar is controlling him well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Valhar connects with a nice short shot to Sonnen's temple.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Valhar slips a nice elbow through Sonnen's hands, connecting with Sonnen's forehead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sonnen is looking to escape.

Valhar is looking to take a break and control but Sonnen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ajax Valhar dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Valhar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sonnen was covering up waiting for the punch and Valhar finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Valhar wants to control from the top but Sonnen keeps moving.
Valhar chips away with some ground and pound.
Valhar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sonnen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Valhar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sonnen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Valhar has managed to get both his arms back between Sonnen's legs - danger averted.

Sonnen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Valhar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sonnen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sonnen has momentary wrist control but Valhar slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sonnen is breathing heavily.
Sonnen looking for a triangle here. Valhar is fighting it but it looks tight! Sonnen pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Valhar is tapping out - this one is all over!

Chael Sonnen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
