Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mar Kunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mar Kunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel dives in and grabs Kunt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kunt pushes down on Liddel's head and hops out.
Liddel throws a head kick but Kunt moves out of range.
Liddel shoots in looking for a takedown but Kunt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Liddel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Liddel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kunt circles away quickly and effectively.
Liddel tries to clinch but Kunt moves out of range.
Liddel throws a sloppy head kick and Kunt moves out of range easily.
Liddel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mar Kunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Liddel.
Kunt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Liddels jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Liddel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Liddel scores with the left hand. Kunt knows he should have avoided that one.

Kunt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kunt tries to get out of the position.
Liddel stops Kunt from getting back to his feet.
Liddel throwing shots but Kunt is blocking nicely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Liddel connects with a nice short shot to Kunt's temple.

Liddel escapes and gets back to his feet.

Liddel moves out of range of the body kick from Kunt.

Kunt stuffs the takedown attempt from Liddel. Liddel gets slowly back to his feet.
Mar Kunt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kunt tries to bum rush Liddel with a series of wild strikes but Liddel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Liddel avoids the head kick by Kunt.
Liddel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A slapping body kick lands there for Liddel.
Kunt throws a right hand that Liddel ducks under and follows up with a left that Liddel also avoids with ease.
Liddel lands a nice shot to the body.
Liddel shoots in looking for a takedown but Kunt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Liddel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Liddel.
The ground and pound from Liddel seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Liddel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Liddel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Liddel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Liddel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kunt wants to get back to his feet.
Liddel tries to score with some ground and pound. Kunt controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Liddel stands up and beckons Kunt to his feet.
Kunt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kunt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Liddel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Liddel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Liddel landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Liddel is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Liddel looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kunt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Liddel on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Liddel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Kunt tries to buck Liddel off but he can't manage it.
Liddel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Liddel controlling the pace for now.

Liddel is working for a guillotine from mount but Kunt frees his head quite easily.
Liddel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Liddel wants to take his opponent's back but Kunt doesn't allow it.

Liddel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Liddel is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kunt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kunt shrugs it off.

Chuck Liddel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Kunt finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Liddel's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Kunt falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chuck Liddel!
